BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN 23 February 2009 Sultanate of Brunei celebrates 25th National Day
Brunei Darussalam celebrates its 25th National Day on 23 Feb with a festival and a theme, "Kedewasaan Bernegara." It recollects 25 years of achievements since independence from Britain on 1 Jan 1984. Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, both monarch and prime minister, will host Asian leaders at his 1788-room palace in the capital.
